Hi, I'm Rebecca -
Hi, I'm Rebecca -
Thanks for visiting. I’ve been writing for the national press for the last twenty-five years. My work has appeared in many top titles including The Guardian, The Independent, Red, Psychologies, Marie Claire, ELLE, Women’s Health, Press Gazette, The Bookseller, and many others.

I also write a regular news column on climate justice, peace and social issues for the Friend magazine. Currently finishing my psychological thriller The Fires in Your Eyes, my articles have appeared all over the world, from Dubai to Singapore, in a wide variety of newspapers and magazines.

I have also two non-fiction books published -- The Virgin Guide to Working Abroad and The Virgin Guide to Volunteering -- and was shortlisted for the Penguin Book Love Story novel-writing competition. I also edited The Lost Records anthology for a project that was nominated for Community Project of the Year in The Stage Awards. Currently finishing my play '1979', read by The Space theatre, my pieces Come Closer, Sabrina's Party and The Bullet In My Heart were staged in Chickenshed's new writing series.

Over the years I’ve been a columnist, an editor, a news reporter, a sub, a features writer and an intern, when I started off on Vogue magazine. In my time as a journalist, I've interviewed a lot of interesting people and covered a diverse array of subjects, from counselling for traumatised lorry drivers to testing out oxygen tanks in search of ‘the natural high’. I’ve also eaten some pretty tasty food.

Throughout it all, the joy of writing has carried me through. Even after twenty-five years, I’m still pleased as punch to be making a living from words.

Happy browsing -- and I hope you enjoy reading.

Rebecca.
